Hi. I've just joined this community and I thought I'd let everyone know that I've created another one for people who simply love to work at Morrisons (sarcasm!). It's morrisons_staff. Feel free to join.

Why am I so amused there's a community for us? Haha.

Name: Alice Stott. And hell is that fun to hear over the tannoy.
Department: The Salad Bar.. (Although, that only happened yesterday. I don't get it. I've been on Produce since I started and they just transferred me. :| wtf, okay.)
Location: Skipton. Store no. 056. ;/
Length of service: About 8 months now.
Pros of your job: I get to stand in a refrigerated room with the radio on.
Cons of your job: I have to stand in a refrigerated room with Morrisons radio on.

Does anyone else have a scarily hot manager at their branch or is it just me?

My Safeway in Edinburgh recently changed into a Morrisons. (Ferry Road store 173)

*start rant*

I'm so far 'Enjoying the change' but there are some things that sorta annoy me.
The whole mop thing for a start is a bit OTT. Can't believe the amount of trouble you have to go through.
HHT's and their anal reductions policy is STUPID.
The tills are ok, but the fact that you have to flash your dinky light for attention is dumb.

"Good afternoon customers and welcome to Morrisons Ferry Road. Whilst shopping within our store today, why not pop along to our Oven Fresh Department where we have chickens at half price. Morrisons. The very best for less"

BLAHHHHHH
Is there anyone else working for a Morrisons that once was safeway?

Well hello! I've quit this job now to move onto pastures new ie Uni, but my sister took over my old Deli job. It rocked. And I miss doing the YMCA with my fellow colleagues and talking about cream machines with my friend from Cake Shop. Oh well!

Hello and welcome to more_reasons! This layout is pretty drab so if anyone can tell me how to make it look better it would be much appreciated. (btw I tried logging in as this community but it won't let me)

Anyway, this is for those Morrisons' employees who want to rant and rave, or perhaps, praise their line of work.

As for me, I work on the deli in the Letchworth store and have done so for nearly one year and nine months. Quite an achievement for one who gives things up every five minutes!

On joining, you will be asked to complete the following questionnaire - simply copy and paste into the box when you post :)

Here's mine:

Name: Baggy
Department: Deli
Location: Letchworth
Length of service: One year nine months
Pros of your job: My friends, our 'in' jokes, bitching about rude customers, 'free samples'
Cons of your job: Customers, the uniform, jellied eels

Enjoy!
